Organization Certification Methodology

We certify grassroots organizations and trained participants through a rigorous process designed to ensure safety, ethics, and impact for everyone involved. Each NGO undergoes an application review, risk and safety assessment, and independent volunteer references to confirm the quality of their programs. We evaluate factors such as community leadership, meaningful project design, and risk management, so both participants and NGOs can engage with confidence, knowing the collaboration is safe, ethical, and mutually beneficial. At the same time, potential trip goers will apply to their preferred trip and to become a Trained Participant will need to complete cultural competency trainings provided by Ecovante and partners.
